While our Austin area vacation resort and spa may be known as the #1 place to play golf in Texas, it’s also the best place to play tennis as well. Bring your rackets – or borrow one from our pro shop – and step out on any one of our 11 hard courts and enjoy a quick game, a group clinic or a private lesson. And for the younger players in your group, Barton Creek’s Junior Development Program teaches all aspects of the game to help them succeed on and off the court.

Barton Creek Tennis Academy - Austin’s Premier Junior Tennis Academy
For juniors who are serious about their game, the Barton Creek Tennis Academy is the premier tennis program in Austin, Texas. With lessons designed to assist players in achieving their goals throughout their tennis journey, The Academy teaches players all aspects of the game including intense drilling, mental toughness, challenging match play, and fitness training. With each of the components an essential part in helping players develop and elevate their game. More so, the program is designed to not only build strong character in each student, but also establish qualities such as honor and respect both on and off the court, with particular emphasis on good sportsmanship and an understanding of the value of fair play. Academy Hours of Operation:
Monday 5pm - 7pm
Tuesday 5pm - 7pm
Thursday 5pm - 7pm
Cost: $500 per month for three days a week, $350 a month for two days a week, or $200 a month for one day a week
Meet Our Tennis Pros
Director of Tennis, Monte Williams has been a USPTA certified tennis pro since 1994. He grew up in Lubbock where he served as assistant tennis pro before moving to Arlington, VA in 1998 where he took a position as Head Professional/Director of Junior Development at Army-Navy Country Club. He then moved to Greensboro, NC to become Director of Tennis at Starmount Forest Country Club. Monte has been at Barton Creek since July of 2009 and brings energy and enthusiasm to the program.

Court Time
Resort guests can play for $25/hour/court. Please register in the Tennis Shop prior to play.
Dress Code
Appropriate tennis attire is required. Tank tops for men, running shoes or cut-offs are not permitted.
Juniors
Whether your junior is experienced on the courts, or just wants to learn from the pros, we have a lesson for all ages and skill levels.
Private Lessons
We encourage players to improve their game through private lessons. We have a variety of staff available for every tennis level. Private lessons begin at $70 per hour for resort guests. Please call the Tennis Shop at 512-329-4008 to reserve a private lesson.
Group Lessons
Our staff quickly assesses and adapts to your group skill level to ensure a productive and fun day on the courts. Group lessons begin at $25 per person/per hour. Please call the Tennis Shop to reserve your group lesson today.
