Frequently Asked Questions

May I purchase tickets or passes before I arrive at Barton Creek?

We do not allow advance ticket purchases. You may purchase skating session tickets and season passes at the Holiday Shop, located in the Coffee Market next to the Lobby during select hours. Tickets can be purchased only one hour in advance of the session (so 2 pm session tickets go on sale at 1 pm). For ticket and pricing information, click here.

Can I make an advance reservation for a skating session?

Skating tickets and passes may be purchased on a first-come, first-served basis. Because of the high demand during the holiday season, we do not allow advanced reservations for skating sessions. To ensure your spot, please arrive early. Tickets can be purchased only one hour in advance of the session (so 2 pm session tickets go on sale at 1 pm).

Are my ice skates included in the cost of the ticket?

Yes, your skate rental is included in the cost of your ticket. If you bring your own skates, the ticket price remains the same. These skates are recreation skates and are not made for speed or figure skating.

What is new this year?

This year, the skating rink is located on a different tennis court closer to the resort, just to the right of the main resort building. It is an outdoor venue, so please bring weather-appropriate clothing.

Also, our Holiday Shop is located inside the Coffee Market this year, just steps aways from the Lobby.

Where is the best place to park?

Holiday Lights & Ice guests should park at our parking garage, located on your left just as you pass the main resort building on Barton Club Drive. Or, you can valet your car if you choose to do so.

What activities are available for children?

Frosty's Family Fun room will be open November 27 through January 6th from 8 am to 10 pm, with special holiday activities planned on the weekends. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday, Inflatables and other activities will be available on the tennis court nex to the skating rink. Tickets for these activities will be available for purchase at the tennis courts. And of course, S'Mores and hot chocolate will be available.

What type of food is available?

The 8212 Bar & Grill will have servers in the seating area above the rink for those wishing to eat dinner and enjoy the atmosphere. Enjoy dishes like our Premium Angus Burger, Queso Fundido and our "Signature" Warm White Chocolate Bread Pudding. S'Mores Kits and other holiday goodies including hot chocolate and cider will be available in the Lobby Coffee Shop.

What is your affiliation with Make-a-Wish?

This will be our third year to partner with Make-A-Wish of Central & South Texas to help raise funds to grant special wishes for deserving children with life-threatening medical conditions. One dollar from every skating session ticket sold will be donated to Make-A-Wish of Central & South Texas.
“I was impressed with the professionalism and graciousness by which the valet and the front desk staff attended to us.”
