Package FAQ

The benefits of booking packages

What is the benefit of booking a package versus individual a la carte pricing?

We bundle room, breakfast and activities together into our packages to provide you a discount.  Your total package savings will fluctuate based on our best available rate during your stay. Room rates change by season and day of week. The cost for activities vary based on time of day, season and day of week. But, typically packages save you 20-30% off à la carte rates.

Are all of the golf courses located on property?

Two of our four championship golf courses are located on property along side the resort.  The Fazio Canyons is located about 2 miles away. Complimentary transportation is provided.  The 4th course, Palmer Lakeside, is located 35-45 minutes off property on Lake Travis.  Round-trip shuttle transportation to this course is available for $80/shuttle.  Each shuttle will carry up to 10 golfers.

Can I substitute my massage for another spa treatment?

No substitutions are allowed on spa packages, however, upgrades are available.  You may upgrade your service to any of the following:

  • A 50-minute Intensive Age Defying Facial for $55
  • Any other 50-minute spa treatment for $35
  • Any 80-minute spa treatment for $55

If we cannot use the activity during this stay can we get a credit for a future stay?

Our packages provide savings through bundled services, therefore, we cannot issue credits or refunds for unused items.  However, if you are unable to utilize your package round of golf because the courses have been closed, you will be eligible to receive a 50-minute Therapeutic Massage or Purifying Facial.

How do I make spa appointments or tee times?

The Reservations Department or Resort Experience Planner can schedule tee-times and spa appointments.  Spa appointments may be scheduled at any time and carry a 24-hour cancellation policy.  Tee-times may be scheduled 90-days in advance and carry a 48 hour cancellation policy (cancellation policy may differ for golf groups).

Do I have to be on the same package the entire stay?

We can customize packages, or a combination of packages based on your specific needs.  If a package only makes sense for a portion of your stay, we can book a room only rate for some of your nights at the resort.

Breakfast is included in all of the packages, but what if I don't want breakfast?

Our packages provide savings through bundled services, therefore, we cannot issue credits or refunds for unused items.  Even though you will not be using the breakfast, you'll still save by utilizing the other package components, instead of purchasing the room and activities separately.

Can I have breakfast in my room, instead of in the dining room?

You're more than welcome to enjoy breakfast in the privacy of your guestroom.  There is an additional charge of $6 per person (this includes the delivery fee).

Can my spouse use both of the spa treatments included in the package if I choose not to use it?

If you and your spouse are on a double occupancy spa package, then two 50-minute treatments are included each night of the package.  Service substitutions are additional, but there is no charge for one of you to receive the unused treatment.

Can I use my package round on the day that I arrive?

We typically do not allow this, but if you have a special circumstance, we can request management approval.

Can I use all of my spa package treatments back to back or on the same day?

If you're on a spa package for multiple nights, you're more than welcome to create a "spa day" experience and utilize all of your package treatments within the same day.

Can I play golf or go to the spa before I check into the hotel?

We welcome guests to enjoy golf or spa while their room is being prepared, however, we always recommend scheduling these activities prior to arrival, so that our spa/golf staff will be expecting you and to ensure your desired times will be available.

Can I decide what I want to do when I get to the resort?

Of course, you are welcome to schedule activities while you are here, but we do not recommend this.  Desired spa appointments, golf tee-times, kid's club availability, and dining reservations are likely to fill.

What is the difference in the Fazio courses vs. the Palmer Lakeside and Crenshaw Cliffside courses?

While the Crenshaw Cliffside and Palmer Lakeside courses are very beautiful courses and have challenging layouts of their own, they just aren't as satisfying to an avid golfer as the two Fazio Courses. Tom Fazio is one of the most renown golf course designers in the world, so skilled, in fact, that his talents were tapped to redesign the home of the Masters, the legendary Augusta National, in 2002. Mr. Fazio has blessed Barton Creek with not one, but two of his masterful designs. Each of these courses are similar in their demanding, yet fair nature. There are no "easy" holes, but with well struck, a birdie is a realistic  possibility. You will leave feeling the satisfaction of a well fought battle with a worthy adversary and not beaten down like many extreme course designs can do. Our golf staff receommends that you play a warm up round on the Crenshaw or Palmer course and then dig into the Fazio courses and enjoy the exceptional golf experience that they truly are.
