We help you better enjoy the game by first helping to better maintain our natural surroundings.
Environmental stewardship is core to everything we believe at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin. And nowhere is that more evident than at our four Texas Hill Country championship courses. Each of which have achieved designation as a “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System (ACSSS) – the educational division of Audubon International, endorsed by the United States Golf Association.
Additionally, Texas’ best resort course, the Fazio Canyons, has become the first resort course in Texas to achieve the prestigious distinction as a certified Audubon International Signature Sanctuary after meeting strict environmental criteria. And of the estimated 16,000 golf courses in the United States, only 2,300 are affiliated with the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary program, with less than 50 courses in the world have achieved the highly coveted Signature status.
Omni Barton Creek Resort is also the proud recipient of the 2001 GCSAA National Environmental Steward Award that recognizes excellence in technology use as it applies to day-to-day course care, resource conservation, water quality management, integrated pest management, wildlife and habitat management, and public outreach and education.
“I was impressed with the professionalism and graciousness by which the valet and the front desk staff attended to us.”
