Relax in style in Barton Creek Resort & Spa’s outdoor pool, which is heated during the cooler months and surrounded by breathtaking Hill Country views. The resort pool features an indigenous natural rock setting with a kiddie pool and a Jacuzzi.

During the warm Texas summer, let our poolside wait staff at our Texas luxury resort bring you a frosty signature peach margarita or other kid-favorite snacks perfect for wet pool fingers. This Texas luxury hotel also offers an indoor pool that is heated and open for swimming year round.

Fort Barton

Fort Barton, a children’s activity area, is scheduled to open Summer 2008 in the rolling hills of the Texas hill country, surrounded by Texas' famed Live Oak trees.  A series of teepees and a log deck will be built to house themed outdoor stations for kid-focused programs including a site for story telling, S'mores roasting and other family-friendly activities.  Teens can also enjoy their own brand of activities with an outdoor meeting space, which can be used as a dance floor, movie theater or place to chill.

To round off the activities this Summer, resort guests are invited to participate in our Camp Barton Camps which will provide four to six-year-olds and seven to 12-year-olds with 10 weeks of exciting supervised activities Monday through Friday, beginning June 9th through August 15th, 2008.

Running and Jogging

Indoor Track - Even though Austin has 300-plus days of sunshine a year, our 1/13-mile running track offers an indoor alternative. Its Mondo surface is gently curved to facilitate comfort. Lap counters are available at the Fitness Center reception desk of our Texas resort.
Outdoors - Enjoy the Texas Hill Country on your morning or afternoon jog. Choose a 2, 2.5 or 4.2 mile route from the running map.

Nature Trail
Whether you enjoy the famed Texas wildflowers or the unique wildlife of the area, a half-mile, self-guided walking tour offers a chance to explore and unwind. The Nature Trail is located behind the Spa building. Maps are available at the Fitness Center reception desk of our Austin Texas Resort.

Miniature Golf Course
Enjoy the family-friendly 18-hole Miniature Golf course located outside the Spa Building. Golf clubs available at the fitness desk.  Challenge a child on a course their size.
